Katie is an independent writer based in San Diego. She has earned a living as a writer since 2010, and offers copywriting, technical writing and ghostwriting services for hire. Her writing and reporting has appeared or is forthcoming in Longreads, Vice, SI's Fansided, The Establishment, Feministing, The Austin Chronicle, The Texas Observer, The Philadelphia Review of Books and other outlets, with mentions in FiveThirtyEight and Excelle Sports. Her article on doping in trail running for Vice Sports was part of a project that was a finalist for a 2016 Associated Press Sports Editors Award. Katie was a Princeton-in-Asia Fellow in Vietnam and Thailand, graduated from Yale with a degree in American Studies, and grew up on an avocado farm in San Diego County.
